  • Frozen banana: This smoothie’s natural sweetness is largely derived from frozen bananas.
  • Lemon: for that amazing tartness, we’re utilising both fresh lemon juice and lemon zest.

Delicious lemon-blueberry smoothie with vibrant flavors from sweet blueberries and fresh lemon juice. Made with just five basic ingredients, this vegan lemon blueberry smoothie is naturally sweetened with fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries (or mixed berries)

  • 1 frozen ripe banana

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced (about 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice)

  • Zest from 1 lemon

  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract

  • ½ cup dairy free milk of choice, plus more to thin if necessary

Directions

  • Fill the blender with all of the ingredients in the recipe.
  • Blend, increasing the speed from low to high until the mixture is smooth, which should take 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Pour into glasses and proceed to serve.
